Futronic MKll optimize the whole radio survey procedure by enabling faster and more simple testing of AIS-SART equipment. All eight AIS-bursts are measured in one setup with Futronic MKll. It also feature time-saving AIS and VHF testing by simultaneous measuring of frequency, data and power.

We assure, that the new generation of Futronic MKll will serve just as long and even better with the continually software updated.

FOR PRODUCT COMPARISON, HERE ARE SOME OF THE MOST IMPORTANT IMPROVEMENTS MADE FOR THE MKII:

  • Smaller dimensions and reduced weight = easier to travel with. Weight and dimensions of MKII are almost half of the old model,
  • Combined tests, i.e. AIS tests gives you full AIS data information and power measurement results in one test, compared to separate tests with the old test box,
  • PC software with many useful options, such as the automatic generation of EPIRB test reports.
  • Connects with your PC or laptop through USB, compared to Serial port with the old one. (Serial ports are being phased out on computers),
  • Considerably longer battery times - one full day of normal operation without re-charging,
  • Power supply and re-charging of the test box needs only 10V ( = allows for in-car charging on the move) compared to minimum 15V required for the old one.

FURTHERMORE THE FUTRONIC MKII OFFERS MANY NEW FEATURES, SUCH AS:

  • Testing EPIRBs with new 406.031 MHz frequency
  • Testing SAR Aircraft AIS transponders (MSG 9)
  • Testing Base Station AIS transponders (MSG 4 and 11)
  • Testing AIS SARTs and MOB devices on both AIS channels simultaneously
  • Decoding new AIS Class A static and voyage related data
  • Decoding extended AIS Class B position data (MSG 19)
