The new IP-based system provides VHF/DSC capability for 2 shore stations and 5 off-shore platforms in the Bay of Campeche. The upgrade also includes two new MF/HF transceivers for voice communication; new system controllers in main/standby configuration and 13 new operator workstations with finger touch control.
