Year in Review

Reflecting on a Remarkable Year at Danphone: 2025 in Review!

As the curtains close on an extraordinary year, we at Danphone take a moment to commemorate the journey that defined our 2025-a year marked by global expansion, technological breakthroughs, and an unwavering commitment to maritime safety.

One of the most significant highlights of the year was delivering the world’s largest NAVTEX solution for the Canadian Coast Guard, alongside technical training for our customers in Canada. This project represents a massive step forward in ensuring reliable maritime safety communications along Canada’s extensive and challenging coastal waters. Additionally, we were proud to complete the Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) for a comprehensive system now en route to Tonga, which will strengthen national communication capabilities across the islands.

Our global project portfolio continues to grow, with active sites in Portugal and multiple ongoing initiatives in Iraq. We are particularly proud of our long-standing partnership in The Bahamas, where we successfully delivered Phase 7 in 2025, further strengthening the region’s maritime infrastructure.

Furthermore, in collaboration with Sternula, we are currently working on a pioneering project to test MSI (Maritime Safety Information) over VDES. This initiative is supported by the Danish Maritime Fund (Den Maritime Fond), and it underscores our commitment to driving innovation that enhances safety at sea globally.

These milestones, spanning from the Atlantic to the Middle East and the Pacific, underscore our team’s ability to manage complex logistics and deliver mission-critical infrastructure on a truly global scale.

Collaboration and knowledge-sharing have been central to our success. Throughout 2025, Danphone took stage at major international exhibitions, including Europort in Rotterdam, Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, and the Smart Maritime Network Conference. Our CEO, Claus Falk, also contributed to the regional innovation landscape with a keynote at #AINordjylland, focusing on how SMEs can take ownership of their data to future-proof operations.

The evolution of Futronic reached new heights this year. In February, we released a software update driven by your feedback, introducing testing capabilities for the newly opened EPIRB 406.076 MHz frequency and optimizing AIS frequency measurements. To further support our users, we launched a dedicated "How-To" video series on YouTube, providing GMDSS radio surveyors with visual guides to maximize their equipment's potential.

Furthermore, our continued ISO 9001 certification and active membership in IALA (International Association of Marine Aids to Navigation and Lighthouse Authorities) validate our dedication to maintaining the highest global standards in the industry.

As we eagerly anticipate the new year, we extend our heartfelt gratitude to our employees, partners, and supporters. Together, we have reached great milestones, and we are excited to continue this journey of growth and innovation in 2026.

Wishing everyone a prosperous and fulfilling new year filled with new opportunities and continued success.
