DANPHONE A/S is looking for a HW engineer with experience specifically in radio technology.
DANPHONE A/S has since 1990 developed and produced advanced radio communication equipment for the maritime sector and is considered one of the leading manufacturers of coastal radio systems on a global scale. All products and solutions are primarily related to IMO SOLAS.
The customers are typically large internationally recognized companies and organizations, and the solutions are part of the critical infrastructure that ensures maritime traffic all over the globe every day of the year.
DANPHONE is located in Nørresundby and has approx. 18 employees and cooperating with a list of subcontractors. There is a highly innovative culture, where the focus is on the development of ground-breaking high-quality customer-specific solutions and compliance with agreed delivery times. At DANPHONE, there is an informal environment, characterized by a culture where you help each other.
With direct reference to the development manager, you will be responsible for all HW development at DANPHONE. The primary work is related to Customer Specific Solutions based on COTS (Commercial off-the-shelf) and products in relation to DANPHONEs products roadmap, including continuous development and improvements.
You will get to work extensively with RF technology as well as new technologies around FPGA, SDR, etc. and you will be responsible for maintaining and further developing the many existing products as well as developing new and ground-breaking solutions and products.
Among other things, you will work with (and knowledge of this is therefore an advantage):
• MF, HF and VHF analog technology.
• Radio standards applicable to products
• High Voltage Switch mode power supply.
• Analog filter, crystal oscillator. RF-amplifier.
• Cadence schematic, layout and Pspice.
• Smith chart impedance matching.
• Purchase specification, 2nd source selection.
• ISO 9001 participation
Daily, you will work closely with your 18 highly specialized colleagues at DANPHONE and several subcontractors, where your role will be to ensure the absolute best HW solutions. For you, this position is a fantastic opportunity to work in an innovative and project-oriented environment where you can follow the products right from the initial idea development until the finished product is sent out to the customer. You are professionally strong in all areas within RF technology, and you are driven by the technological challenges and the development of new and creative solutions to problems. You have experience with RF technology, and are a trained engineer in telecommunications with a specialization in RF.
